Kindred spirits

The great thing about books is that in them one can find a kindred spirit. While none of my friends understand why I love puffins so very much or why I long to sit on the shores of islands in far away countries Adam Nicolson does. And he can say it far better than I have thus far managed to do so.

Being a reader and writer provides me with access to connection and a way of making sense of the world, of finding words that express exactly how I feel.
