Sacrificing a goat and three Rough Guides to the visa gods
So far applying for a visa has been a little arduous. A last minute policy change that means I have to fly halfway across the country instead of being able to apply in the city where I live has been interesting — and was not posted on the consulate website when I started researching this a couple of months ago. That on top of the sudden panicky realization that I don’t know whether or not I have the paperwork I need (I think I do but am not a hundred per cent sure) has resulted in a stressful and anxious couple of days. Fortunately, I planned ahead and these delays are not catastrophic, just unpleasant. Hopefully everything works itself out tomorrow when consulates open and appointments are booked. I am sacrificing a goat and three Rough Guides to the visa gods for good measure.
