A freshly fallen silent shroud of snow
There are times when winter in Calgary sucks. It can be cold and miserable constantly taunting you into thinking it is almost over or times when it is -30c and your bus is late. Then there are times when winter is beautiful.
“A freshly fallen silent shroud of snow,” sing Simon and Garfunkel in “I am a rock” and that is what greeted me when I went to walk home tonight. Snow can be really nice when it gently tumbles to the ground creating a blanket of undisturbed white. I also saw a treat that truly caused me to pause. I stumbled upon not one but three bunnies that have just turned white. There is something so magical about them sitting there camouflaged and vigilantly watching as I walk on by.
