Charlie Bartlett
There is nothing better than finding a random movie you’ve never heard of on a random movie channel (60). Charlie Bartlett happens to be that movie right now. It has everything a high school movie needs: snarly dialogue, a idealized and unrealistic plot, vacant parents that lack control over their children’s lives or the ability to understand communicate with them and of course Kat Dennings.
The plot centers around Charlie acting as a shrink to the other kids at his high school and gives them prescription medication. He also falls in love with the principle’s daughter along the way. It’s true magic is in taking the stereotypes and formulas that high school and teen movies are based on — a large portion of which involve Kat Dennings — and uses them really well.
